You might consider stocking up on meat, if you haven't already done so. Make sure you have enough toilet paper and hand sanitizer, too. ;D

Stores are limiting purchases to two packages per type of meat here. Large families have to go to stores that have larger packages (Costco, Mexican grocery stores).

Do you ever wake up and feel like you’re in the Hunger Games (which the Democrats watched and thought was a great idea)?

Quantity isn’t a problem here yet, in fact it’s been improving. The local store limits quantity a bit. The selection and quality of cut is a bit thin though. Haven’t found a good sirloin since this started.

Meat plants are mostly back on line. A couple million chickens more or less aren’t worth worrying about. This is just more pandemic porn.

The problem is in the handling and cutting up. Whole chicken is .49 /lb in Oregon. Side of ribs went from 1.99/lb to .99.

Cut up stuff costs 3-4x as much right next to it. They are fleeting sales though and you need to get them and freeze them.

Costco was cleaned out on everything but ground beef, lamb, and whole pork tenderloins. Whole chickens were 2.99 a pound up from .99 a month ago.

There isn’t going to be a meat shortage. And you can quote me on that. You can bookmark this and try to spook me later.

Each report like this increases the demand - just like it did for toilet paper.

Sorry folks, but if you read it in the enemedia, there’s a 101% chance it’s wrong.

There is a shortage presently, but thanks to the fact that we have capitalism (you know, that stuff that actually WORKS), any problems will be resolved.

In Red states, anyway.

Does this looney writer realize how insignificant 1.5 million chickens are?

1.5 million chickens sounds like a lot, until you consider that is 1/10 of a chicken per NC resident.
