Like the vast majority of the coronavirus situation, this phony “race war” being cooked up in the media is all about the election. Every bit of it.
A jerk because he expected others to obey the rules? A jerk because he used dog treats to show stupid dog owners how easily their stupid behavior could put their dogs at risk? A REAL jerk could have given the dog a poisoned treat just as easily and then she’d actually have something to bitch about.
There are jerks alright, this guy ain’t one of them.
He was following up on her wrong actions and belief her dog was controlled without a leash in a leash-only area.
I think he did a perfectly fine demonstration to further validate her lie to her.
Yes, but WeWork clients have access to the gym.
I just checked the Governor's “Minnesota Stay Safe Plan.”
https://mn.gov/covid19/for-minnesotans/stay-safe-mn/stay-safe-plan.jsp
All “Gyms, personal fitness and yoga studios, and martial arts” facilities are closed until at least June 1st.
Someone needs to call the Minneapolis cops and have the landlord and the Black entrepreneurs arrested!
The man involved was a bird watcher, an officer at the local Audubon Society. The refuge involved is one of the Nation’s top birding habitats. Dogs off leash flush out the ground nesting birds. The gentleman with the treats follows the same practice as many other birders, the offer of treats usually prompts the dog owner to put on the dog’s lead & the problem is solved. The practice of ignoring the rules is frequent enough that many birders go prepared when they visit.
I am tired of seeing this gentleman maligned for protecting this important birding refuge from a selfish arrogant dog abusive woman.

Central Park is one of the best birding spots in the United States, attracting birders from all over the world. Birds migrating, spring and fall, along the East Coast find Central Park a welcoming place to rest and stoke up energy for the next leg of their journey. On a single wave or fallout day as many as 30 warbler species may be seen, establishing the Park as one of the most famous warbler traps on this coastal migration path. For some spring migrants, the Park is their breeding destination. And in fall, hawks migrating along the flyway soar directly above this city park.
Since the creation of Central Park, more than 280 bird species have been recorded; 192 are regular visitors or year-round residents and over 88 are infrequent or rare visitors.
Central Park also attracts a goodly number of birders. On a warm Sunday in May, over 500 birders have been counted birding in the Ramble. Birding enthusiasts include visiting bird groups from other parts of New York State and neighboring states as well as visitors from distant states and abroad. On a spring weekday morning, you will see the business-suited folk catching a little birding on their way to work.
Correct, and that’s *all* the WeWork clients, not just Mr. “PAPIEREN BITTE” here. As a consultant who’s been to several WeWork and similar sites, you don’t get past the front desk without being registered. Anyone inside the WeWork space is either an authorized guest or a WeWork direct client. Why this guy decided to play stupid power games over a space that wasn’t his instead of simply going to WeWork staff and asking if those people were supposed to be in there is beyond me.
He probably also is the kind of idiot that gets lost and won’t ask for directions even after he’s driven into the middle of a random lake and his jacked up truck is sinking.
Is racism and/or stupidity grounds for terminating a legal contract?
No, but harassing another tenant, calling the cops and building manager because the other tenant would not give in to your demands, could be.
A thousand ways to handle this situation and this dumbass does it the stupidest way.
He could of introduces himself and his company and what he does and ask them what they do. Make it business and an opportunity to network. Instead he turned it into an interrogation
It’s only premeditated entrapment of behavior that’s been deemed by society to be unacceptable.
I agree. People with cell phones are everywhere and have the presence of mind to record video when an incident begins.
In the case of the entrepreneur, it seems almost like a male Karen. It really wasn’t any of his business to question the guys using a gym. It wasn’t even his business to report them.
And now the space he previously had isn’t his business anymore as well.
I very much doubt that the lease agreement allowed the landlord to cancel the lease based on alleged acts of racial discrimination.
A jerk because he didn’t mind his own business
They both were karens
Karen’s brother Konrad.
...are premeditated entrapment.
How hard is it to not play along?
A 911 call to say someone was harassing you and you were being coerced into a dim area of the park is not a setup
If you are referencing the Central Park video, you've got it all wrong.
Sounds like a male Karen...a Chad?
Did the Woman call the Cops BECAUSE the guy was Black? That is the automatic assumption. A stupid Karen turned into a stupid Racist Karen.
What if the guy was White and she did the same thing? Would it be International News if that were the case?
I guess being Black (or sort of Black) makes you Flubber. Things don’t just slide off you, they bounce off and accelerate in the opposite direction. It worked for Obama.
This wasn’t See Something, Say Something. This was See Something, Accost Someone. The original program actually told people to call the relevant authorities and to specifically avoid accosting the target of their suspicions. In fact, the program tells reporting parties to leave the area as quickly as possible.
This wasn’t that.
Again, if the guys using the Gym were White would this even be a story? We all know the answer.
a small woman is confronted by a large man sitting alone in a park in a secluded area.
So of course, we should punish her for calling the police when they large man threatens to poison her dog.
If she didn’t want to be threatened by large men, she shouldn’t have broken the leash law.
Because birds are really scared if they see a dog and the dog is NOT on a leash. If the dog is on a leash, the birds are fine.
She WAS wearing a mask. We all hate being told we have to wear masks, but are fine with a woman being told she has to put her dog on a leash, under threats.
“Go ahead, call the police” — the man knew that her calling the police would be the end of her.
As a man, I certainly would not have called the police. Of course, I don’t own a dog, because I don’t believe in owning animals for fun, especially animals that are happy if they run wild but are required to be chained to a leash.
And I would NEVER start a 911 call with the race of the person. I would let the 911 operator ask for a description, and I would describe without race, and then if she asked, I would tell her I was uncomfortable calling out a person’s skin color, but if she insisted.....
But remember, we are at the point in our society where justice is based on riots, and social media. We have mob rule, and nobody is stepping up to stop it, because everybody is scared.
This is how you get 6 million Jews burned in concentration camps.
