Appears so. Id add the rioters are scum and villainy, no matter their color.

To be fair to them (as much as I don’t want to be) - a lot of modern police buildings are actually not really defensible. Lots of huge glass windows, open spaces, etc. Trying to defend such a building is a good way to get a lot of dead and wounded for no good reason.

I certainly don’t disagree with that. It is very informative to note that this isn’t purely a ‘race riot’ though.

Yep, they were inside and not visible, trying to keep the doors open and the paychecks coming in. They wanted to come out the other end of it still in business.

Chicago’s west side never recovered either.
The West Loop (east of Western) is rebounding thanks to the United Center and nearby University, but cross the “Panhandle” railroad tracks and it’s the same wasteland it’s been since 1968.

They should have been shot. Where is the national guard?!
It's a police station for crying out loud. The GD police should defend it themselves.
I'm pretty sure they have guns.

This started because of a needless use of lethal force upon a handcuffed man. This morning the idiot police arrested a CNN crew live on TV. I can’t side with the looters but at this point I don’t give a damn about the police. It’s like watching rival gangs fight.

Absolutely a viable strategy for a warehouse type facility. Lots of other people trying to come out of it with their livelihoods intact too.

If they'd have gotten clobbered they not only may have just lost their jobs in the short term, but possibly not ever reopened again. That was a risk they wanted to avert so the better option in their minds was to go to work and defend it if they had to. Some of the higher-ups in the office chose to stay and camp out there, so it was occupied and watched around the clock.

I’ve run into a surprising number of LA expats that were in a similar situation back in 1992. That scenario isn’t uncommon among them.
I’ve also run into some of the rank and file LAPD officers from then too; now retired, they’d moved elsewhere and I’ve had some good discussions with them about what happened from their point of view. It was about what I figured - leadership told them not to go in even though they wanted to and were willing to take the risk. LA City government was extremely risk averse and kept hoping it would burn out by itself.
It does seem like most of us bailed from LA either directly due to the Riots or the woefully mishandled aftermath.

Expect this on a national scale if the Democrats regain the White House and run out of other peoples money to spend.
To: Spktyr
Though I haven't been around any expats in person that I know of, have chatted with some over the internet and have found the same kind of stories. People had to take personal responsibility and jump into action or else have things fall down (or burn down) around them.

The Hussein Heads censoring Twitter seem to vehemently diaagree with you.
“why does the media keep calling them protestors?”
Big Media’s every published word is propagandized against Trump and America.
