Video at link. Don't accept racism? Don't do this don't do that? From a corporation that turns a blind eye to the very people they pretend to give a sh*t about beating each other senseless every Black Friday over their latest overpriced sh*tkickers. This is rich! Gotta love that corporate responsibility.

Don’t do it, Nike. Don’t exploit a tense socio-political situation for your own profits. Oop. Too late.

"Nike released a simple but powerful ad Friday evening."
Horse crap.
And maybe call Obama and let him talk about his “typical white woman” grandmother.

So we KNOW it's racism? We have already made all the determinations that we need to make. Not a rush to judgement - not at all.
There was a guy complaining that, in the riots, some black properties were being destroyed. In effect saying, destroying white businesses is understandable (even though they had NOTHING) to do with this. But destroying black businesses, well, that is not acceptable. Now tell me again where the racism is.

“For once, Don’t Do It,
Don’t sit back and be silent.
and here I thought they would advise “don’t riot”. Blame Nike for fueling them.

>>” Nikes stance on the issue comes after several athletes joined a nationwide movement to publicly condemn the officers involved in Floyds death. Floyd was killed as Minneapolis police officers had him in custody Monday.
Professional athletes denounced the Hong Kong protesters and sucked up to Chinese dictatorship.

"For once, Don't Do It, the text read, playing on Nikes popular slogan. Don't pretend there's not a problem in America. Yes there is a problem in the US. It's you Nike and your ilk destroying cities, and ruining the lives of innocent people.
To: BenLurkin
Or as the looters say, “who’s this George Floyd guy you folks keep talkin’ ‘bout?”
To: ConservativeInPA
One rogue cop kills one man without a reason, but because the cop was white and the dead man was black, all white Americans are guilty of racism. The only lives which matter are those which can be exploited for political gain.
Meanwhile Nike makes its profits by exploiting the labor of poor people in other countries.
To: Impala64ssa
Nike’s gone full steam ahead on its ‘woke’ ad campaign targeted at urban youths. It is what it is.
To: Impala64ssa
Maybe they should fire Colin K.
To: BenLurkin
When I saw the headline that is what I was hoping they meant. Don’t riot. FU Nike!

Nike should either give away shoes to the rioters so they can run away faster, or run ads showing the address of every store that sells Nike products so the looters know where to go next.
Hope this does not affect the Nike line of workboots.

maybe they could have run an ad showing a black guy reaching for a purse with a line thru it and “Don’t Do It”. They could make a whole series of such ads one showing a black guy raping a woman with a line thru it and “Don’t Do It”, another with a scene of a drive-by shooting with a line thru it and “Don’t do it”. I would be far more likely to give them some credit for taking on a problem head-on.
