To those who've been critical of the protesters who are looting and burning down Targets -- please, shut up. The CEO of Target has officially issued a statement in response to the nationwide protests in the wake of the recent murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and Geoge Floyd. The CEO, Brian Cornell, penned an open letter in support of the protesters and communities across America that are constantly dealing with police brutality.
"We are a community in pain. That pain is not unique to the Twin Cities—it extends across America. The murder of George Floyd has unleashed the pent-up pain of years, as have the killings of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. We say their names and hold a too-long list of others in our hearts. As a Target team, we’ve huddled, we’ve consoled, we’ve witnessed horrific scenes similar to what’s playing out now and wept that not enough is changing. And as a team we’ve vowed to face pain with purpose," reads the letter.
It’s hard to see now, but the day will come for healing—and our team will join our hearts, hands and resources in that journey. Even now, Target leaders are assembling community members, partners and local officials to help identify what more we can do together and what resources are required to help families, starting right here in Minnesota."

I’m assuming store closures and inventory loss due to rioting = insurance coverage for stuff that was never going to sell during lockdown. It makes sense in to encourage undocumented shoppers when your insurance co is gonna pick up the bill.

At the end of the day, the rioting took place in deep blue cities, and targeted deep blue corporations.

The people who are burning and are engaging in non traditional shopping are not rioters, they are protestors or maybe Protestants or something like that. I read da news. /s
Our Target will stay open.
Had some rioting downtown last night and they tried to burn the Market House. That was candle man running down the stairs in flames.
Then some hardy souls drove out to the Mall and did some five finger shopping at JC Penny.
Target is a couple of miles further down the road. Too much trouble to get there.
If these corporations choose to openly support terrorists over the country that gave them the opportunity to exist, they should be treated as enemies.

So do a lot of other men at Target. I haven't returned to their stores in years, and no sensible parent would bring a child there.
