RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina's governor said in a letter Tuesday that the GOP must prepare for a scaled-back convention in Charlotte because of the coronavirus pandemic despite demands from President Donald Trump for a full-scale, in-person event.
Gov. Roy Cooper, a Democrat, said in the letter to the top convention organizer and the national GOP chairwoman that he's happy to continue conversations over how to hold the convention safely, and is still awaiting a safety plan requested by North Carolina officials.
"The people of North Carolina do not know what the status of COVID-19 will be in August, so planning for a scaled-down convention with fewer people, social distancing and face coverings is a necessity," Cooper said in the letter.

It should be in an outdoor arena or stadium. A rodeo arena, or baseball or football stadium. Preferably in the remote West, the farther away from the crazies as possible. Maybe the Frontiers Days complex in Cheyenne.

Gov. Cooper is poking the bear, and everyone knows Trump wants a big deal convention. Cooper’s businesses aren’t going to be happy losing the revenue a convention brings.
Yep there are other venues that would like to have the
convention move there. Nashville is already trying.
I’m a Floridian and would love to have it here.....

If Wisconsin is open I would go there, a state Trump needs and its close to Michigan, Minnesota and even Illinois. Make the Rats play defense. Another option, Vegas, go after Nevada.
Democrat Governor that has the entire State on lockdown until September.
