Steve Kings problems began with Washington Examiner’s Williamson who could have cited the many times the New York Times has been cited for using misquotes when assembling his report on Cruz and Scotts reaction to of condemnation to the alleged racist remarks made by Iowa Congressman Steve King .
Williamson could have as well then ask both US Senators Scott and Cruz “Can the New York Times under those circumstances be trusted” ask if they considered that and include their reaction when making their statements in his report..

What King was denouncing was the assertions raised by the NYT interviewer using questions that reference common idioms used but are being attacked in socialist revisionist propaganda circles as racist.

That technique method is similar to NYT use of questions about LGBT practices when seeking a reaction from by a religious figure.. Which have been manipulated and blown up to be prohibited expressions under guise of being politically incorrect ..

What Williamson did was because of his lazy journalism. Which is common practice unfortunately in too many so called conservative communication venues in visual, print and talk radio. Was to support and continue to validate the “politically correct posture regurgitated by socialist revisionists.

Taken out of context by the NYT just like the Charlottesville story about Trump. King is not a racist nor does he make racist remarks. La Raza and MALDEF call King a racist. So does the SPLC.

The GOPe didn’t defend King. Instead they willingly bought the NYT line and disciplined King by taking him off all the committees hence branding him as a racist. Hard to get the nomination after that.

Ha okay so another good conservative brought down by GOP voters because he wasn’t PC enough.
Yea we’re doomed.

Good luck with this lying stooge what’s his name saying he’s pro Trump but campaign funded by a Romney PAC.

Steve King was superb on immigration. He was a burr under the saddle of the open border RINOs. Steve supported reduced legal immigration and cutting back on temporary work visas, especially H-1B. He worked closely with NumbersUSA, FAIR, CIS, etc. Michelle Malkin was a big fan. Sad day.

What is a Karen? I have seen this phrase around lately and honestly have no idea what it means.

Steve deserves it.

only stupid or dimwit conservatives talk to nytimes, cnn, etc.

copuple of gop senate candidates lost back in 2012 in similar way. still conservatives never learn.

also other gope/rino types are ever ready to throw conservatives under the bus.

A Karen is a loudmouthed woman who is smarter than you and tells you how you are doing stuff wrong, either in person or via social media.

Typically, a Real estate agent, head of the PTA, White Gender studies professor, etc.

These are the people that tell you to wear a mask at the beach, tell you that you are going the wrong way down the Aisle in an empty store, and get in your face if you aren’t standing 6 feet away from people you live with, because it will kill her grandmother.

Other than being a jackass? He almost got beat in 2018, did nothing different, and now he’s toast.

And yes, the medias lies work and beleived because people like you don’t know what is going on.

The only reason he lost is the rats had a lot of people signing up to vote in the pub primary. I had to wait an hour to vote.

Steve King is a great immigration patriot. And thus was a top enemy of the left and right establishments.

He thus had a much bigger responsibility to watch what came out of his mouth. He didn't. He said stupid things, pointless "musings" that did nothing to advance any cause, but could easily be weaponized by his enemies. He deserved to lose, and should be a cautionary tale for other conservatives.

While I fear Feenstra is a RINO in waiting, King is a gaffe machine. Never be interviewed by the liberal media, much less the New York Times. The days of respectful and civilized liberal journalists are buried with Edward R. Murrow and Mike Wallace.

Best point.

As soon posted - a gaffe machine. Not sorry to see him go considering his inability to not speak to media (and insert his foot in his mouth) that were openly partisan and poised his viewpoints.

Poor judgment. Goodbye.

He commented on the definition of white supremacy and other things. The media took and ran with it and the party didn’t help him much. King is a solid guy but didn’t play along with the others. Sorry to see him go. The candidate who defeated him will be a good replacement though.

Do you think that the Republican will win the general election? I think King’s loss is okay, mainly because he’s in his ninth term. The founders hoped that people would be in the House for 2-3 terms and let someone else have that seat. 21 congressmen have been in the House for at least 27 years. 16 of them are Democrats.

No, he will be excommunicated from public life and may even be unjustly harassed by prosecutors.

Main Street Partnership is a Ryan, Cantor, Romney creation.

Partner, we certainly do not want anything to do with the three (3) guys mentioned above. They are nothing but Bush League Milk Toast Pubbies and they are all a "Bunch of Losers."

For some time, Steve King has been the only IA Republican in a high profile position who is steadfast and loyal to conservative positions. Going way back, IA had another good one in Rep. H. R. Gross.
