A lot of weak minded people think they sound wise by casting the narrative of “both sides are at fault”, a rhetorical device that allows them to be the “truly objective” person who sees both sides. They only succeed in sounding like the fools and morally bankrupt virtue signalling hypocrites they are.

It’s tough racket, and a cushy sinecure at the same time. Tough racket because they need to stay within the bounds of the politically-acceptable to the liberal (is there any other kind?) media bosses, which changes randomly. Cushy sinecure because once you land that slot, you own it the way many union employees have a job for life, and all you have to do to keep it, is toe the line and provide anecdotes that reinforce the sacraments for your particular political slant/brand.
