The Black Live Matter movement will develop an armed branch of “peace officers” to combat police brutality in black communities during the so-called “war on police,” according to one of its leaders.
Protests broke out across the country following the death of unarmed Minneapolis black man George Floyd while in police custody, bringing the BLM movement back into national focus. In an interview with the Daily Mail, BLM New York chapter Chairman Hawk Newsome described how the group plans to follow in the footsteps of the Black Panthers Party by matching fire with fire – when necessary.
“We're talking about self-defense. We're talking about defending our communities,” Newsome said. “You know what it's like to see a taser pointed at a 7-year-old, you know what it's like to see a 67-year-old black woman ... pepper sprayed and pushed to the ground?”

Mooselimbs on patrol? And carrying firearms in big cities, the ones where no-one is allowed to have a weapon? This is going to be interesting seeing the two-tiered justice system at work.

They’re talking about killing folks they don’t like....
Cops simply won’t go into black neighborhoods; any problems let them police it themselves. Media will cry cops don’t care should anything happen.
Do these BLM’s realize that the statistics show the white male over 30 is the most likely to be killed by police?
What was the name of the group who wore red beret’s that used to patrol bad areas of town?
Maybe they need to bring those back instead.

My memory’s hazy, but isn’t that exactly what happened when the Panthers tried this? Seems I recall the cops treated it as a no-go until the Feds ended up breaking the Panthers apart for criminal activity.

The Brinks Truck robbery in Nanuet, NY back in October 1981 was done by members of the “Black Liberation Army,” who saw themselves as soldiers in an armed rebellion.
Kathy Boudin, who participated in the robbery and in the subsequent murder of two Nanuet police officers, ‘Chip’ Brown and Edward O’Grady. In the original robbery, one of the Brinks truck drivers was also killed; his name was Peter Paige.
In 2008, Kathy Boudin became a professor at Columbia University’s School of Social Work.
Her son Chesa, who she dropped off at day care before participating in the Brinks robbery, is currently the District Attorney of San Francisco.
