Yea, I’m sure the balanced media will report this.
Speaking as a Catholic our shrines should be open for anyone to come and pray. It is not the place of a political Bishop to make political statements saying they cannot.
Too little, too late.
The Left has seized upon the words of a pro-homo Catholic that supports the putsch.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Again I have to ask, are there any actual Catholics in the leadership of the Church?
An agnostic, homosexual hierarchy is a curse on the Church. The scriptures warned that this temporal body would often be infiltrated by evil in disguise. It has been the duty and challenge of Christians throughout the ages to purify the Church and rid it of false leaders.
There are many, many ‘false shepherds’ across the church and all denominations. By their actions they reveal to whom they belong. God will deal with them harshly because they lead many of their flock astray.
“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Tim 4:4)
The Catholic bishop is an idiot. My apologies to the many great Catholic freepers here. But that man is an imbecile.
It offends his sensibilities that the president of the United States visits the shrine to John Paul the Great? It offends his sensibilities that the president may gain inspiration and strength from visiting a shrine for John Paul II? A man who I assume this bishop admires because he was the pope of his church?
Today’s “church” is not apolitical. They have lost me.
Yet, this Bishop wouldn’t have a problem with abortion supporting/promoting Nanzi or Chuck U Schumer stopping by the Shrine of PJPII.
Right?
Yes,there are surely Swamp Creatures in the Catholic Church.
Im a Catholic who is absolutely sick of the morally spineless, post-modern, leftist-political leadership the Church often displays.
Many seem absolutely lost and corrupted. Homosexuals and Marxists seem to have taken over.
President Trump, who has done much for the pro-life stance...not talk, but strong actions like choosing pro-life judges, stopping funding where he could, and so on. What do Catholic leaders do? Jump all over Trump.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Clerical leaders get all upset and infuriated at the sight of a man standing in front of a church and holding a bible, or visiting a shrine in order to honor it, but have nothing to say when the mob comes to burn the church down.
When I was growing up, the clergy tried to protect and honor their churches. But these new leaders are cowardly and corrupted by political expedience. Time for a reformation.

Who knows why Trump decided to go to the shrine? The institution’s own guidelines say all are welcome so it isn’t the place of the Archbishop to say Trump shouldn’t have gone.
The Catholic Church makes millions of dollars every year bringing people into the country. If course they hate Trump. He’s a Christian, he’s not gay and is trying to keep the invaders out of our country.
The President and his Wife are welcome anytime. Some people are showing their true colors.
Great to see a push back against the CINOs!
Jesus told us “I am the way, and the truth, and the life...”
As we are the Body of Christ, we are the Catholic Church and we need to follow Christ and not the ways of the World.
The Catholic Church is for sinners and saints, as Jesus dealt with and spent time in healing and preaching to those that needed him. So too we keep His commandments by sharing our love of God and neighbor.
We can see the sins and weaknesses in church leadership and members. We can also see the holiness and strengths in church leadership and members. We need to stand for God’s Truth and share our voice and actions to follow Christ’s way. We can respect the office and the person, but not the sin.
It is clear that the ways of the world, secularism, lack of morality, and sinfulness has split our country and the Church and the world. This has taken hold and has led many astray away from the teachings of Jesus.
There is hope as Jesus is merciful and continues to love us.
Let us put our trust in Jesus and continue to hope that he will soon straighten out the Catholic Church so that we can continue bringing the Good News of Salvation to all.
