I was 100 per cent with him. Now, I am totally NOT a sporting fan and will keep a very wide berth of any of the morons in professional sports.

I disagree with the author on this. Brees’ capitulation yesterday makes me wonder if all his “heroism,” “kindness” and “generosity” was just a PR stunt.

It is possible that Brees was reminded that his sport is a violent one. Many players endure game-ending injuries, some endure career-ending injury. A fifteen yard penalty is a small price to pay if Brees’ career is ended due to ‘unnecessary roughness’.
If I were he and someone mentioned those things to me, I would consider retirement. The over $250mm that I already have in the bank should suffice for the rest of my life. And I won’t be going to the bank in a wheelchair ...
