Very bad riot control technique. My unit had many drills in riot control. The second control is lost,appearance that force is limited and a crack is seen in the wall it’s all over.

The French Foreign Legion have some hardcore, kick-ass troops; and SOME of their officers are first-rate. The problem with the Legion, as with most military forces, is that the upper command echelon are politically motivated, and that can be fatal to the effectiveness of a fighting force.
