De Blasio Offers South Africa-style ‘Truth and Reconciliation Commission’ for NYC
Breitbart ^ | 6/21/20

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Sunday that New York City would establish a city commission for “Racial Justice and Reconciliation — just like the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa.”

The South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) was established after the end of apartheid in 1994 to investigate human rights abuses by both sides in the decades-long conflict between the white minority government and the liberation movement.

The TRC offered potential amnesty for past human rights abuses to people who were willing to come forward and testify about what they had done, or witnessed. Many people did so, exposing the horrors of years of torture by state security police, or brutal murders ordered by anti-apartheid organizations against rival political groups and suspected informers.

Some in the new African National Congress (ANC) government rejected the idea that human rights abuses committed by the liberation movement could be judged by the same moral standard as those committed by their oppressors. But the TRC, led by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, rejected the idea that there was a separate standard for human rights abuses based on what side of the struggle committed them.

It is not clear what mass killings or political executions were carried out by New York City’s Democrat-run government, nor what the testimony of the “other side” might be.

De Blasio has been accused of discrimination in his treatment of the Jewish community and other religious communities. Last week, he defended welding shut the gates of public parks in Jewish neighborhoods while participating personally — and violating “social distancing” rules — in Black Lives Matter and transgender protests.

South Africa: not an attractive place to be white:

About 800,000 out of an earlier total population of 5.2 million whites have left South Africa since 1995, according to a report from 2009.[34] (Apartheid, a system of segregation of whites, blacks, and people of other races, had ended in 1994.) The country has suffered a high rate of violent crime, a primary stated reason for emigration.[35] Other causes include attacks against white farmers, concern about being excluded by affirmative action programs, rolling blackouts in electrical supplies, and worries about corruption and autocratic political tendencies among new leaders. Since many of those who leave are highly educated, there are shortages of skilled personnel in the government, teaching, and other professional areas.[36] Some observers fear the long-term consequences, as South Africa’s labor policies make it difficult to attract skilled immigrants.

More campaign ads. Please start dragging people in front of your tribunals before the election starts so people can see what they are voting for.

Law and order broke down in South Africa. Now the same thing is happening to America 30 years later.

These are the same type of do-gooders that helped to destroy S Africa and Rhodesia.

Now they are knocking on our door and they have brought guest.

He should put his son and daughter on it and give them $850 million. It’s worked before.

Duh--WHAT "human rights abuses"? This total idiot is going to suffer a broken back, he leans over so far to pardon blacks' any and every misdeed. Since when have blacks in NYC not had equal opportunities to make something of themselves and earn good pay? But when you stop to consider that 75% of black kids there are out of wedlock, products of irresponsible people who go with the moment instead of exhibiting the slightest bit of common sense, that same irresponsibility also influences buckling down to get an education instead of partying and getting high. Most of them are unable to delay gratification and thus end up with a lifetime of either low paying jobs or crime. How have whites, then, kept them from succeeding?

They haven't.

What about the black bigot on another NYC panel who set fire to a synagogue or something in 2018?

And just like the Struggle Sessions of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, during which only 30,000,000+ Chinese were murdered.

DeBlasio has such high expectations. It is a wonder he did not use the Zimbabwe/Mugabe model.

I go to brooklyn quite often.

I shall be staying on Staten Island more in the future.

The south shore of Staten Island is trapped in a time warp and nothing really changes...a lot of Italians and very, very few murders. The side with obama’s sons is a little bad.

I have felt the tension in brookyn and was approached by a number of hispanics regarding the blm march.

It was a tense moment.

If he feels guilty about white oppression of blacks, De Blasio needs to follow my tagline.

Ok - that’s it.

We’re done here.

It’s time to force this guy out, outright.

He’s now establishing an extra judicial committee outside constitutional law and establishing a witch hunt committee.

Death to tyrants.

"Racial Justice and Reconciliation "

In other words, Lies and Capitulation. If they wanted the truth, they would start with the truth about Michael Brown, the thug who tried to grab an officer's gun. They would finish with the guy in Atlanta who punched a cop in the face and tried to taze him. Yes, there has been police misconduct against some blacks, but nothing close to the other direction.

Great. Sounds like a fine opportunity for white subjects of this former republic to grovel before their masters.
Wonder how much each petitioner will be allowed to practice their supplication for forgiveness? Anyhoo, sounds like the begging sessions should be entertaining, especially when the mayor is asked to hand over the reins of power to the newly-crowned rapper-king for, you know, Reconciliation.
