That is the historic pattern - first the statues and symbols are destroyed, then people begin to be killed, if they are not stopped - DJT is in a bind and has to tread carefully and slowly.
It’s the mayors and Governors resposibility for getting this under control...not Trumps. However he has signed the Executive order regarding destroying gov. property and statues so we’ll see if the mayors and Governors act.
Meanwhile the FBI is very much on top of these acts (VISUALLY and otherwise) , arresting many who are being charged, but it’s of course not in the leftist media news, the media wants these to continue as we know.
So Trump is taking actions.

Kind of surprised that a democrat of royalty doesn’t have ample body guards.
There is a point where the federal government MUST step in. But we’re not there yet. People are starting to call for it, but it’s not quite time. It has to be so critical that it’s justified.
There’s also a very good chance that it’ll die out - they’re trying to goad Trump into doing something unconstitutional. He ain’t biting. He is scolding the locals, but he’s not gone that final step. Yet.
From the actions taken today and the FBI also involved he’s already doing something about it.
