The kind if person that wants to become a police officer in this environment is the person you don’t want to have a badge. They will gleefully hit you with the baton because they know they’ll get away with it.
If the police will not enforce property crime, the people have no use for them whatsoever.

No, usually my jokes have better punchlines. Of course my safety is my own responsibility, not that of the police or any government agency.
My point is that the Mainstream media is trying to create the impression that throughout the USA cops are reviled and are being defunded by angry abused citizens. This is only true in select Democrat-destroyed hellholes. There are many communities like mine where the Police do a fine job and are appreciated and respected.
The Left’s endgame is the elimination of locally controlled law enforcement and the establishment of centrally controlled Secret Police with unlimited powers. All those ghetto youth who think they’ll be able to commit crimes with impunity under the new system are in for quite a surprise if all this succeeds.

Some smaller towns and cities aint so peaceful. We moved “out” to what we thought was a conservative country area. Turns out it’s a hiding area for homosexuals and liberal transplants of all kinds. They’d be agitating in our town square if they thought they could get away with it ....they can’t, for now ...but wait about 15-20 years, maybe less. If crap breaks out, I’m as worried about these traitors throughout town as I am from any city/BLM mobs.
We have a few small towns like that in Virginia too. A growing number of small, sleepy towns out in horse and farm country are slowly turning into political cesspools. The pattern is clear, the older people pass on then the families sell the property to the highest bidder. Often a leftwing familial units or homosexual “families” looking to move out of the craphole they created in the cities, infest the countryside towns like locust.
We deal with it all the time, painfully skinny and loud metrosexual types complaining about the slower lifestyle, lack of retail outlets, level of municipal services and the people they chose to move near.
Leftists ruin everything they touch.

You must live near me. Yep, “wine and horse country” type area. New neighborhoods pop up out of nowwhere, half full of libs who immediately want to put in a mcdonalds or pave scenic gravel roads. Many are transplants and have no appreciation for the area.
Maybe you know the main street town with the big “rainbow” flag display ....just in your face on the main drag. Some of them try to run for office, but are usually defeated.
Interestingly in our town, a homosexual individual who is conservative to the bone was recently tossed off a town function committe for being “too racist.” They will turn on each other, too ... it doesn’t take much of their righteous indignation to do so.
