Fireworks going off yet? They were still going off occasionally at 2:30am here. And today it is HOT!!!
Hope your day has gone well and you could just enjoy getting ready for the “the show”.

Yes, fireworks are going off and have been for over an hour and a half. I just came in from watching for a bit. I got tired of mosquitos bumping me and buzzing around my ears and came back to the house. They don’t bite me but they sure are aggravating. I’d still be outside watching fireworks if not for them.
Mother Nature got in on the action. There was a huge thunderhead to the NW with lightning flashing all through it as backdrop to fireworks. And to the SE, the huge full moon was rising through clouds. And fireflies were flickering everywhere. It was all very pretty.
How hot did it get up there today? We were in the 90s with the heat index close to 100. Tomorrow is supposed to be a repeat. Needless to say, there was NO desire to go outside until after the sun went down. LOL

The fireworks are sporadic now....more to come.
It got to 81 at my house...time for the big box fan in the living room/office.
Skies are fairly clear, but it won’t be dark for awhile. Hopefully I will be able see the moon.
Ouch! 81’s pretty toasty anywhere but it’s really toasty for up there. Having no A/Cs there makes it rougher. I feel for you.
I could see a few of the fireworks on the airport cam but it’s not easy since it’s still so bright. Takes a lot of fun out of fireworks having to shoot them off in daylight.
It finally got quiet here at midnight but up til then, it sounded like a war zone. People spent a LOT of $$ on fireworks this year.
It’s a really bright moon tonight. It almost hurts to look at it. I’m kicking myself for forgetting about the eclipse and I missed it, darn it.

The lake here has been swarming with boats all weekend.
Lot of noise now, but the sun hasn’t gone down yet...and it’s 11:18pm. LOL!
