Rather than calling them “People of Color,” I’ve decided to start calling them “Colored People.” It’s the same thing but in fewer words, so they can’t complain. Who knew we would be going back in time thanks to BLM?

[[I’ve decided to start calling them “Colored People.” ]]

A black comedian said once-

“I don’t know why ya’ll call us colored people- We’re born black, live black, and die black.

You white folks on the other hand are born pink, turn white, sunburn red, turn blue with envy, get green around the gills, tan in the sun, then turn grey when old- and you call us colored?”

When I was younger (50+ years ago) blacks were called coloreds. Even on the show “Julia” with Dianah Carrol, Earl J Waggerdorns Aunt asked Julia what it’s like to be colored. Julia responded “you’re colored” the aunt looked puzzled then Julia said “white’s a color!”

But I digress, after colored people, Negro was the socially acceptable term. Then Afro-American, then Black, then African-American. The full circle to “people of color”
