Reagan was promised this would be one-time and matched with actions to stop future illegal alien invasion. We’ve now got 30-60 million. Fully 25% of the Mexican citizenry are now in the US. Reagan failed, Trump appears to be on path to repeat and further destroy the US. This puts a lie on all of Trump’s talk with actions that are completely the opposite. And how can Trump now do via EO what he said Obama couldn’t?

Yes but who is confounding those issues? Build a wall. Protect the sanctity of the ballot box. Reform immigration laws. Enforce identity theft laws. These are all individual and separate choices to be made.

That’s why we have ICE and already have the method for illegals to “make it right” ; they get the hell back to their own country where the belong. Follow the law and it’s taken care of. It’s only a problem when laws aren’t enforced.

Reagan’s mistake was not taking border enforcement seriously. I don’t think anyone can doubt Trump’s stance on that question. He’s moved hell and high water to build and rebuild a physical and electronic barrier.

I just watched a Milton Friedman clip in which he stated convincingly that unfettered immigration, leading to naturalization, was only viable in the early 20th century because there was NO free gravy train as there is today. Therefore, that model doesn’t work. The welfare state and immigration together will destroy a country.

Perhaps in the end it may equate to Amnesty, but who’s to say that our past application of our immigration laws will continue?
