A number of prominent conservatives have offered their support for Goya Foods as it faces mass calls for boycott over its CEO's decision to praise President Trump.
On Friday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted: "Goya is a staple of Cuban food. My grandparents ate Goya black beans twice a day for nearly 90 years. And now the Left is trying to cancel Hispanic culture and silence free speech. #BuyGoya"
President Trump similarly tweeted "I LOVE @GoyaFoods!" amid the backlash. Figures such as former model Chrissie Teigen had advanced the boycott as a way to retaliate against CEO Robert Unanue, who appeared beside Trump at a White House event this week.
"We're all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder," he said. Trump was promoting the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative, which is designed to expand educational and economic opportunities for Hispanic-Americans.
While criticizing the boycott, "The View" co-host Meghan McCain warned that it might result in job loss during the difficult economic problems begot by the coronavirus pandemic.

While I am happy to support Goya I can’t help but recall how conservative support of Chick fil a was ultimately in vain.

That’s the first thought of most of us here, but look at the interviews of their president, he’s rock-solid for Trump. The Chick-a-fill bunch was weasel-wording from the start (with stuff like we take no position on the gay lifestyle, and we have gays working at our joints, etc.). This Goya guy simply gives the finger to the Left.

I looked for Goya at the supermarket yesterday but apparently it’s not an Arizona thing. Or just not a Fry’s thing.
I’ve never purchased their products before but I bought a variety of Goya products yesterday. I look forward to trying them.

Every Hispanic friend I had growing up had a cupboard full of Goya products. Are the Biden jackboots trying to alienate that voter demographic, too?!

In a nutshell, this is a perfect example of the differences between a Conservative vs Liberal protest.
Conservatives contribute to local businesses while Liberals loot them and then burn them down.
