The Department of Justice does not seem to be able to investigate, indict or prosecute any Democrat politician regardless of their crime. If they were serious they would investigate and indict the elected public officials who order the police to stand down when thugs are openly violating the most basic civil rights guarenteed by the Constitution. People in St.Louis and anywhere the Democrat marxists control local law enforcement, if they must stay, ought to be armed.

A number of people here have asked this question, but I’ll raise it again: Has anyone heard a word from the NRA on this?

I have heard about possible Indictment, but so far nothing there.

In a letter to Attorney General Bill Barr, Hawley called for a federal civil rights probe...

"This is an unacceptable abuse of power and threat to the Second Amendment"Yes! About time somebody stood up to the Marxist bullies.

The couple's attorney, Albert Watkins, was shrewd to take possession of the wife's pistol. During the confrontation she had her finger on the trigger and was pointing it at the mob. The prosecution could have made a case around this (though I still think her actions were justified). Claiming that the handgun was inoperable takes this off the table.
Note that the husband showed proper trigger discipline and (as far as I could tell) avoided pointing it directly at anyone.

Kim Gardner has a pattern of inappropriate and frivolous use of her powers.
