An earlier Sunday thread showed a Youtube video of regular police clearing out protestors to the theme song of Rawhide. What, exactly, is the relationship between the Feds doing their arrest raids and the Portland police finally being allowed to clear these guys out of the street? It can’t be a coincidence that it was the same week.

Conveniently forgets that Fed Dept of Corrections are experts at ‘crowd control’ and ‘riot’ techniques, and the Federal Marshalls are also experts at riot control - having been involved in just about every riot anywhere in the USA in the past 50 years.

From the NYT-led hysteria, you’d think the government sent in parking lot attendants.

I have not seen the video. If it really does show local cops doing thei jobs, it could be the fact that the feds showed the locals that they could actually do their duty. However, when the local judges and police bosses let the thugs go, that is not a good message for the local cops. I am also wondering whether federal judges and prosecutors in that area will do the right thing.
