They get an A+ for creativity.
Teachers brought along visual aids, including handmade coffins and a guillotine, while protesting Mayor Bill de Blasios schools reopening plan in Lower Manhattan on Monday afternoon.
About 200 protesters many of them educators, parents and students marched from the United Federation of Teachers headquarters to the NYC Department of Education offices near Foley Square.
We demand safe schools, they chanted.
The crafty group lugged a DIY yellow guillotine, with DOE painted on the blade and US written where the head would go.
They also carried at least two boxes designed to look like coffins, with black cloth draped over them, and three handmade body bags.

Under Hizzoners plan, Schools will be like prisons, said Cook, adding, Teachers main focus will be on enforcing health and safety because one slip could cause someone their lives."
I get what some teachers might be concerned that any kid diagnosed with COVID will be blamed on them for not doing a good enough job as mask police. And there will be plenty of kids with cell phone cameras ready to rat them out if they let kids let their masks slip below their noses.
Before anyone gets on my case, I realize a lot of teachers support a Marxist revolution, but a lot are decent people who believe it is very, very important for things to get back to normal and for kids to go to school but who can foresee the hell they are going to encounter if schools open.
Drama queens. They’re more likely to get killed driving to and from the schools than from getting the “Seschuan sniffles”
Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! What a bunch of a** holes!
A good picture of people who have no business being anywhere near children, teens, or students of any age.
Death rate of COVID is hovering somewhere close to 0.002% of all cases.
COVID Positive is NOT a death sentence.
Hahahahahaha...I can only hope this is a “Bring your own Supplies” school day...if they put them to good use on each other!
We built a guillotine in our classroom when I was in the 7th grade. It had a plaque on it that read: If you failed the Test, Put your head into this nest and let the guillotine do the rest. Well it would chop a pencil in two. Might have take finger off. I expect things have changed since 1962 huh?
I wish Sec. of Education Betsy Devos would find a way to fire and replace every teacher at those faux funerals.
Highly inappropriate.
Some little kids won’t ever forget seeing their favorite teacher carrying a foam cushioned Tombstone with the name of their school written on it.
They’re harming the children so badly by not having them go back to school these scumbags should be ashamed of themselves.

Check out what they did.
And these useful idiots are bleating about WuFlu.
Picture #6 shows a ‘teacher’ holding a sign that says:
“We Won’t Die for the Doe”
Doh!
I remember those giant paper guillotines used in Arts & Crafts. The handles were heavy, black and made of iron.
That’s what is teaching our kids in public schools. Some are close to illiterate and innumerate.
Too bad they weren’t real and they didn’t use them
Well, these teachers are obviously drama teachers.
*rolls eyes*
Let them stay home.
“Teachers”
Meanwhile workers everywhere like at Walmart, face thousands of strangers every day.
I have zero tolerance for these leftist government school teachers.
