It’s going to cost people jobs in Ohio when the stock goes down, a state he needs to win. Also I think it’s illegal for a sitting president to call for a boycott. All so he can use it to make a point about “cancel culture” that apparently was a misunderstanding anyway and wasn’t from corporate. Oh and when he should probably be focusing on other things

Yes, Goodyear employees uninvolved in this will take a hit. That’s why it’s so important for HR - or any leadership in a company - to make wise decisions. That slide was not a wise decision.

To my knowledge, other countries have tire manufacturers that produce similarly resistant product. Michelin actually made some of the first modern tires of the type, called the Auto Porteur tire, for example. Sumitomo of Japan also has some, etc.
