Trump businesses are big users of H-2Bs.

I figured out this scam on my own some years ago. Since then, when I'm looking for work, I screen my calls -- let the answering service pick up. If the message is from an Indian voice, I never return the call.

Can confirm: One of the largest airlines I used to work for, at least 50%-60% of the developer/non-managerial workers were Indian.

I have 26+ years - maybe 27+.

I might as well toss my resumes into the ocean. It would have the same effect.

I had to be thankful to take a low-end job just to get my guns out of hock. Well, it provides some cash. Not a lot.

Some of them get ticked off when you have to ask them repeat themselves...as though I should know better how to understand what sounds like half-babbling.

My experience w/ recruiters from India is that they want resumes from Americans to boost their applicant stats to show the Americans are not as qualified as their guy. I do not ever deal with the as a hiring manager or candidate

I use Google Voice for my resume. When Google Voice converts their half-babbling into text, the results can be entertaining.

One day, I had Donald Trump calling about a sixty-day stint somewhere. That’s what the text conversion said.

Just by reading the silly text conversions, you can tell when the bottom-feeders have left a message.

About 13-14 years ago, I was doing contract work for CitiCorp. On our floor, there were probably 50 Indian workers. Rarely a day went by that Indian men were using the sinks to bathe themselves.

After complaining to management (to no avail), I found out which floor that had no Indian workers...that's where I went to the bathroom.

O/T, we had a really good group of people. We were all glad to simply be working, and the contract lasted six months. Our Secret Santa was the best one I was ever involved with. With a total limit of $20 per person, people used their imagination, and everyone was happy with what they received.

I get these calls just about daily. I am an engineer, not an IT person. I get these calls demanding, yes demanding, that I be presented for positions completely outside my qualifications - which would be illegal since I am a licensed professional engineer. My background is process control and industrial automation, not circuit board design. It still doesn’t register. These so called recruiters do not even read the resume, they just do the loosest keyword search, and follow a script. And then there are the so called contract positions. 3 years contract at some lowball rate 1000 miles away no benefits no per diem no time home? My response is usually some Hindi expletives describing the person’s intimate relationship with a farm animal.
BTW they usually have a broom closet office somewhere in New Jersey, but make a VOIP call from India. I’m originally from NJ, and I throw them off with a local question.
