Current unemployment rate fell to, what, 8.5%?
If DEMOCRAT states actually FOLLOWED THE SCIENCE and allowed their closed businesses to open, that rate would fall another 2 or 3 points.
Of course, they can’t do that as their objective is to screw Trump. To Hell with their citizens, SCREW TRUMP!!

These Rat and RINO Governors (and Mayors) should be challenged in the Federal courts. There’s no way that the Founding Fathers wanted tinpot dictators like them to have the power to tell me that I can't go to church...or to my job...because of some damn virus.

Speaking of challenging Rat Governors in Federal court...in June or July (can't recall which) a Federal judge in Boston ruled that the Trump hating RINO Governor of Massachusetts violated 2nd Amendment rights by ordering gun sops and gun ranges to be closed because they were “non-essential”. The judge ordered that they be reopened.

“POWER! POWER! POWER!”
“Wake up, dear. You’re dreaming again.”
“Oh, sorry. Go back to sleep, honey.”
“POWER! POWER! POWER! I’m so horny. Don’t go back to sleep, honey.”
“Not tonight. I’m tired.”

We live in a monarchy now here in The People's Republik of Connecticut. Lamont is setting himself up to be KING... or maybe Dictator for Life.
Ugh, gotta continue to get rid of stuff / start packing here... wish we could move the hell out of CT tomorrow.

Agreed. It is reasonable to allow executive powers to be used in the early stages of an emergency, such as the first few weeks of coronavirus would probably have been justified or during a natural disaster such as a hurricane, tornado, flood etc.
Once the initial emergency has been controlled/contained but is still an ongoing issue like we see now is coronavirus or the cleanup/rebuilding after a natural disaster emergency powers are no longer justified as decisions can be made through the traditional legislative process as needed

It is such a mess of rules now. We were supposed to go into Phase 3 of 3 back in June or July which included opening bars and arcades among other things, however that has been indefinably delayed. Also, some arcades were allowed to open under Phase 2 because they cited the fact that casinos were allowed dot open in May and they are vary similar environments.
Even if your are opened they have changed rules with little notice, delayed changes or made changes early and no one knows what to expect next.
