Information provided in writing always supersedes the verbal, and as much as I’m sure these rioters would love to make a big hairy deal over any perceived infraction of the letter of the law, it’s not going to hold up, this is stupid. She was duly informed of the charges against her.

Reminds me of what happened in court when a burglar backed out of a window, hesitated as he was debating dropping and I said: “Wait, I’ll catch you. . .and I did (both ways).

It’s called being a public nuisance, creating a disturbance, and interfering with a police officer doing his job. Only idiots violate those laws.
The old traffic code in Salt Lake City defined a “Person” in section 30. I sometimes would write people tickets for violating section 30. It drove ‘em nuts in the traffic violations bureau. Being a cop in the seventies was fun!
