GLENDALE (CBSLA) — An investigation was underway after surveillance video captured bags of mail being dumped in the parking lot of a Glendale spa Thursday morning.
The video, taken outside of 7Q salon, shows a Budget box truck backed into the parking lot. Moments later, bag after bag could be seen being tossed out of the back of the truck and onto the ground.
Lilia Serobian, co-owner of the salon, found the bags and took cell phone video as she realized they were filled with hundreds of unopened envelopes and packages from the U.S. Postal Service.
“It was completely unusual,” Serobian said. “If they’re taking for their personal use, basically, why’d they have to drop off all the unopened packages somewhere.”
Serobian said the incident has made her uneasy given the recent controversy surrounding the postal service.

IF your town has to be know nationwide, why not for having
the U. S. mail dumped here and there?

I used to deliver mail when I was in my late teens here in Los Angeles [IOW, over 50 years ago.
There is a long history of letter carriers dumping mail. They just do not want to deliver it ...too much walking and work.

The ones dumping mail in Adam Schiff’s district are likely those exceptional cases,

They are unionized workers in Adam Schiff’s district. They expect to be paid for not working.
This may have been a stunt to illustrate how mail in ballots would never be counted.
We even had one guy who locked himself in a mailbox and just read magazines all day!
It was coherent enough. If it was a couple of mailbox thieves, why would they dump unopened packages?
Hmm. My wife was telling me about some post on “Next Door” where the gal found a bunch of mail in an empty lot nearby. She went through it to salvage what she could, and delivered it to people.

Thank goodness most bad guys and lawbreakers don’t realize that cameras are everywhere.
Why should we entrust the future of this country to USPS employees?
I imagine the USPS uses rental trucks from time to time to move excess mail. Someone probably stole the truck and tossed the cargo when they realized it was US mail.

I can recall news stories over the years of postal workers hiding undelivered mail at their homes and other places.
There was one just this past January; postal worker rented a storage unit in VA because he couldn’t get the mail delivered. They’re not hard to find with just a simple Google search.
