I think that would be impossible.

How will another fake impeachment stop Trump’s SC nominee?
I’m not quite getting the point.
Do they think by impeaching Trump that will cause a couple GOP
Senators to pause?

It’s amazing they’ll try this. Such a circus. Tells us all we need to know about the type of people they are and exactly why they should not hold the reigns of power. These folks should be voted out, even if replaced by other Democrats.

The House can impeach all they want but I don’t see how it prevents the Senate from holding hearings.

Dumb asses:

Impeachment = House

Confirmation = Senate

Like I said... pathetic dumb asses.

who cares? (articles of impeachment cannot stop the Senate from doing its job, no matter what)

Even McConnell won’t cave to that.

So......while the House is burying itself in impeachment, again, that stops the Senate from confirming a SCOTUS nominee how, exactly?

How does an impeachment by the House stop any Supreme Court nomination?
Answer : It doesn't.
However, it may send Trump's poll numbers skyrocketing, just like the last time.
Meanwhile, Mitch will simply pull a Pelosi and ignore any impeachment documents submitted by the house until the next congress, which automatically voids any impeachment papers the previous house.

The House really can’t interfere with the Senate’s business here.

Another such attempt would likely be an electoral disaster unless, as rumored, the Southern District of New York springs charges on Trump and his family in order to ramp up the supposed pretext.

But even that is likely to be seen as indecent attempted election interference.

What would the possible impeachment charge be? Upholding the Constitution?

Not doubting that the House Howling Haters would do another Impeachment but how does it block a SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) appointment? Impeachment, as we learned earlier this year is a CHARGE, not a conviction! Yes the Chief Justice, John Roberts, presides at the US Senate Trial, but that has absolute zero to do with filling the vacant SCOTUS Seat.

Silly me, I just realized I’m thinking logically and of that ancient document called the real US Constitution. Neither of the above applies to the Democratic sufferers of peak TDS!

They did all say, during impeachment 1.0, and knowing that RBG had just been hospitalized, that "a nomination by a President under investigation is invalid", or, "An impeached President cannot nominate anyone".

RBG rallied at that point, so those talking points became inoperative, but you can bet you will hear them again and again.

Democrats can’t do much without help from at least a few Republicans. A simple majority is all it takes under current Senate rules to confirm a Supreme Court nominee.

Democrats can raise objections, raise hell in confirmation hearings and on the floor of the Senate, but ultimately, the committee and McConnell will decide when the key votes occur.

Democrats need 4 Republicans to vote with them to block a nominee. That’s because the GOP holds a 53-47 majority, and Vice President Mike Pence can break any 50-50 tie.

Impeach Trump and/or Barr to prevent the SCOTUS hearings and Vote.

So... The House will hold hearing and vote to impeach in... 2-3 weeks?

Never happen. Even rank-and-file House Dems will not buy into that.
