Judge Amy Coney Barrett Recently Approved Democrat COVID-19 Lockdown Policies
Big League Politics ^ | Sep 22 2020 | By Shane Trejo

Judge Amy Coney Barrett has emerged as the choice of Conservative Twitter to be the successor on the Supreme Court to replace deceased former justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on Friday after many bouts of cancer.

However, Barrett’s record is troubling on many issues, with a ruling that gives Democrats in Illinois blanket authority to shut down society based on COVID-19 mass hysteria standing out as particularly heinous.

Barrett concurred with the majority in Illinois Republican Party et al. v. J.B. Pritzker, Governor of Illinois to keep the illegal lockdown in place and allow Democrats to rip up the Constitution under the guise of safety. She hid behind the precedent of Jacobsen v. Massachusetts (1905) in an attempt to avoid culpability for her decision.

“At least at this stage of the pandemic, Jacobson takes off the table any general challenge to [Pritzker’s executive order] based on the Fourteenth Amendment’s protection of liberty,” the majority opinion read in the case.

It continued: “[W]hile in the face of a pandemic the Governor of Illinois was not compelled to make a special dispensation for religious activities, see Elim, nothing in the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment barred him from doing so. As in the cases reconciling the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses, all that the Governor did was to limit to a certain degree the burden on religious exercise that [the governor’s executive order] imposed.”

While Barrett rolls over to the far left and allows Democrats to rip up the Constitution, other judges are actually living up to their oath, such as the Trump-appointed District Judge in Pennsylvania, William S. Stickman.

I can excuse the government for taking precautions for the first couple of months. However, after that time, we had the numbers and knew exactly if we were in danger.

I don’t care for either. I would rather see someone else. The only thing she has going for her she was already approved by this Senate in 2017.

I agree with what you said below. Barbara Logoa is better pick, she's also Catholic and it would help Trump politically to see Dems attack Hispanic woman based in Florida

Too many Catholics on the court already (5) and Gorsuch is a virtual Catholic by background. We need an Evangelical Christian MAN on the court. Cruz would fit this bill. So would many others.

Why do we have to capitulate to the leftist “woman” movement all the time? It is killing us!!!

The real problem is picking justices because of their perceived view on abortion. This misses the 2nd amendment and everything else. End of day, the court is not going to end abortion so it is wasted discussion. Ending gun rights, that is real.

Who writes this Orwellian garbage?
Amy Coney Barrett is “far left” huh?
And Pelosi is far right too.

I do not trust her at all. In the women think with there hearts, not there heads.

In my lifetime, there has been only one woman politician/judge I fully trusted and that's Nikki Haley, haha just kidding! Actually, it's Margaret Thatcher, who might have been to the right of Reagan.

I trust Trump when he warrants trust.

Every Republican president seems to have one bad Supreme Court appointee. Reagan picked the questionable O'Connor and Kennedy. Bush I selected Souter, who was an embarrassment. Bush II appointed Roberts, who's been a disaster. This selection could be Trump's regretful choice.

Barrett opined on whether Pritzker had the governmental power, under existing law, to subject Illinois to that shutdown. As distasteful as that power is, it appears he does. Remember, she’s interpreting the law, not creating it.

She’ll be fine.

Gorsch voted pro lgbtq in the first opportunity he got. So we are heading for imprisonment for christian institutions. He is clearly a tryannical law maker, not an interpreter.
Allowing a tiny minority of the ruling class to make legislation as unelected and unrepresentative.

The judge from Miami is best at this current time for many reasons. I’m already sick of seeing the handmaid costume all over the place. Plus, in politics, Florida should be helped. Bloomberg just paid off 32,000 felons in order to vote. You think any are republicans? Doubtful!

“She’s a woman. Women are roughly 3x more likely to be risk averse than men.

This is why women shouldn’t be on any court bench.”

Dang, you made me laugh and spit coffee on my keyboard.

So how do you explain Justice Roberts and his mandatory Obamacare TAX? And other ANTI-conservative decisions he’s made that obviously indicate the man has been compromised with something.

Funny a John Roberts was on an Epstein flight and other suspicious activity and allegations swirl around him. You know men are 8X to 9X times more likely to be a pedophile than women and diddle small children and/or have child porn on their computer being 8-9X more likely to be a risk of being compromised than women.

This is why men shouldn’t be on any court bench.

I’ve been listening to an excellent pastor who opines superbly on the social and political issues of this country. He says that about half of the judges who are constitutional conservatives at the time of their confirmation drift left during their tenure. ZERO leftist judges drift right during their tenure. So, overall its an inexorable drift into the abyss.

But half is better than zero the other direction.

Look up Pastor Doug Wilson on Canon Press (YouTube.)

Remember, she’s interpreting the law, not creating it.

Yup. And that's what she's supposed to do. Ginsberg never saw it that way, which is why Ginsberg was an awful judge.

Okay, so how about that PA judge who limited this crap?

Sure he’s not a female and hasn’t been on Trump’s short list, but he sounds like a man for these times!

“Cruz would fit this bill.”

Did you miss the part where Cruz said he didn’t want to be a SCOTUS?
