I’m equally amazed at how deadly COVID is. Who would have guessed that it can kill people who are not even infected?

So What! There was a guy shot and killed by the Sheriff yesterday and he died from COVID.
This whole COVID is a scam; no results of tests are accurate or correct; people receiving test results who’ve never even taken a test.
More than that they should sue the Hell out of the hospital. He should have been taken in immediately and his actual condition treated. Wrongful death on the part of the institution.

2). If you must come, don’t bring anyone with you. Wear a mask and suffer some more.
3). If you can’t walk, we’ll let someone with you. Both must wear masks.
4). ER If we do admit you, no one can come with you. Wear your mask, unless you are actually in breathing distress.

I am SO NOT surprised!
We know the death count is not accurate. From a scientific perspective, it does not need to be very accurate, it is just a way to track TRENDS. So long as a state is counting in some consistent manner, death count CHANGES are meaningful, even if the absolute number are not.
But when used politically, it is very important to have an “accurate” count, which is also impossible, because most people die of several reasons, and determining which is the proximate cause is not simple.
For example, a person gets COVID, it gives them pnemonia, they die “of pnemonia”. Did they die of COVID? Without the COVID, they would not have died at that moment. But what if they had a pre-existing condition that triggered the pnemonia? Without that pre-existing condition, they would not have gotten pnemonia when they got COVID.
Almost nobody “die of HIV”. HIV destroyed immune systems, and then the died of things they could fight off.
I am very sorry he died. If I think a relative needs to be seen at the emergency room or hospital, I am going no matter what someone on the phone says.
Told by the hospital not to come back? Don’t you normally go to your own doctor who has admitting privilege?
