Elon Musk says he WON'T get a coronavirus vaccine because he's 'not at risk' and says the pandemic has 'questioned my faith in humanity'

Elon Musk has revealed he will not get a coronavirus vaccine when they're available because he's 'not at risk' and defends keeping his Tesla factories up and running amid the pandemic.

The 49-year-old tech giant defended opening up Tesla factories in defiance of lockdowns - a lengthy saga that has seen him sue Alameda County, launch a profanity-laden rant about how lockdowns are 'unethical' and allegedly fire employees who didn't feel safe enough to return to work.

The Tesla and SpaceX founder said Monday in an interview with Kara Swisher on the New York Times' podcast Sway that even when vaccines are readily accessible, he won't take one.

He was on Joe Rogan’s podcast smoking weed, drinking whisky, and shooting a flamethrower.

Well, who wouldn’t do that on the Joe Rogan show.

What is going to generate the electricity for the massive increase in demand?

Well, my hair does get all static-y when it gets cold out .... sort of like Don King on a bad day. Get thousands of us together, and voila! Electricity up the ying-yang! :-)

I’m a Nikola Tesla supernerd, so I don’t have anything bad to say about Musk.

Of course, China.

Blaming Fauci is like blaming Kermit the Frog for what comes out of his mouth.

There’s a hell of a lot more than Fauci behind this. This site loves to blame Soros, too, and he isn’t even a pimple on China’s butt.

And yes, Musk is pretty great, but he’s in a position way too beholden to China, right now. I hate to think how much of his impressive rocket technology is totally compromised.

I’d like to see lots of nuclear and natural gas be the main sources, but who knows. Fusion always seems “20 years away”, but Gen 3+ and 4 nuclear fission reactors might be the way to go.

And did you see the Cybertruck vs F150 pull? Electrics have just as much torque, if not more, than gas. The S3 plaid Tesla will be faster than any ICE under $1m for $120k or so.

Plenty of them are Freepers. I lost my faith in many “so-called” conservatives over this.

I’m looking forward to driverless, less strain and should be safer overall. That said, I think manual will probably remain at option at least this century.

Musk: ...the pandemic has made me “question my faith in humanity.”

Whether you are religious or not, putting your faith in humanity is a dubious proposition. Brings to mind the old jibe about re-marriage being the triumph of hope over experience.

“I’d like to see lots of nuclear and natural gas be the main sources...”

Agreed.

“Fusion always seems “20 years away”, but Gen 3+ and 4 nuclear fission reactors might be the way to go.”

Also agree.

My concern with trucks isn’t a pull-off, but regular hard work. What is the range when the radio is on, heat is cranking, and pulling a full bed up a hill?

I will. Why on earth not? By the time it's available to me, it will have been tested on over a hundred thousand people. It will be safe enough for me, and if it spares me a week of flu-like symptoms and lets me throw away the damn rag I currently have to wear on my face in stores, its worth it.

Nope. He’s a radical centrist. Left or right policy depending on what he thinks is the best way to solve a problem. Probably one of the most capable and effective high level geniuses out there. ... and he is a secret admirer of Pres. Trump.

Why would you think getting a vaccine shot “allows you” to not wear a face mask?

The guy wants to colonize Mars because of his faith in humanity. Now that he’s questioning that faith, what then?
