We must organize and prepare ourselves accordingly. Something the Jews failed miserably at leading to their demise.
I read that book.
It was a very difficult read, IIRC. Quite unsettling.
There was a second one I read. The Nazi Seizure of Power: The Experience of a Single German Town, 1922-1945, Revised Edition Paperback November 10, 2014
by William Sheridan Allen. I think I have the original edition.
On my list to re-read.
If you really want to understand how people became willing killers for Hitler, Stalin, and Mao read “The Psychology of Mass Fascism” by Wilhelm Reich. Fascism by any other name is socialism - so its is the same mechanism.
When I taught school, I was told I was scaring the students. I have had people tell me all of my adult life that people are afraid of me. I am short physically and not muscular at all. I have never hurt anyone. My fellow citizens do not scare me at all. For some reason, I scare them...apparently from some of the things I say. And, I am prepared to back up what I say and people who know me know that I am...in creative ways. Guns are not the sum total of life. A mind that can think of things to do to you other than using a gun is the most dangerous weapon.
I was was involved a a minor nonverbal dispute over a parking spot at Walmart. I let the other person have the spot, waited a while in the store and then from several feet away (carrying CHL of course - all the time) and said, "There's no parking space worth dying for." The other person actually agreed and we parted ways peacefully. It's all how you say it.
read that when it first came out
