He was slated to host a phone call on COVID-19 support to vulnerable seniors, but Vice President Mike Pence stepped in to host instead.
He’s in better health than many half his age - as is manifested thru his energy and productivity level. Those in poor health can not handle his sort of schedule.

You are thinking normal circumstances. They need to be prepared for it all.
Every possible contingency.
So they have a POTUS who has a disease that ends up with some on a ventilator. They need one there in case he can’t get out for some reason..whatever it may be.
