The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) has adopted a new rule ahead of Thursday’s second and final presidential debate and will silence the microphone of the candidate who does not have the floor during the uninterrupted two-minute periods at the start of each segment.
The Commission cited their prior announcement to consider “additional structure” to future debates following the first presidential debate with moderator Chris Wallace. The first debate saw several interruptions from both candidates and Wallace. While Joe Biden (D) set the tone by interrupting first, Wallace later stated that Trump bore the “primary responsibility” for what occurred during the debate.
“The Commission has determined that it is appropriate to adopt measures intended to promote adherence to agreed upon rules and inappropriate to make changes to those rules,” it said in a statement, detailing its plan to enforce the rule:
Under the agreed upon debate rules, each candidate is to have two minutes of uninterrupted time to make remarks at the beginning of each 15 minute segment of the debate. These remarks are to be followed by a period of discussion. Both campaigns this week again reaffirmed their agreement to the two-minute, uninterrupted rule. The Commission is announcing today that in order to enforce this agreed upon rule, the only candidate whose microphone will be open during these two-minute periods is the candidate who has the floor under the rules. For the balance of each element, which by design is intended to be dedicated to open discussion, both candidates’ microphones will be open.
The CPD added that “neither campaign may be totally satisfied with the measures today” but added that it is “comfortable that these actions strike the right balance and that they are in the interest of the American people, for whom these debates are held”:

This thing is so rigged in Biden's favor it is ridiculous.
Biden is probably being fed all the questions right now.
Trump should refuse to attend. The microphone switch will be used to edit his remarks on the fly so as to make him look bad.

Has the debate commission considered for one second what the impact will be when millions of Americans watch the mainstream media literally censoring President Trump in real-time?
President Trump’s microphone will be silenced anytime he refers to Hunter’s emails detailing the bribes and kickbacks to the Biden Crime Family.
It would be fantastic (if we didn’t have such a corrupt FBI) to have law enforcement officials arrest Traitorjoe during the debate.
Trump should say. When the president deals with the world’s toughest dictators, he can’t turn off their microphone to protect America.
Maybe Trump is going because he thinks another round of a corrupt media side show will awaken some voters to the very real bias that is happening. But I think 99% of people already know who they are voting for.
I’d say let Trump go in and do his business like Pence.
Answer the question, then turn it around and use 90 minutes to go after Biden - multiple accusations.
You have 2 minutes. Use it. Slam him, piss him off, then step back while he mumbles. Don’t let the moderator interrupt you. It’s your two minutes. Take it calmly and let Biden be the doddering fool. He can hardly get a thought out in two minutes. Let the silence show it.
Democrats sure like to control what people can say and when.

President Trump should not attend.
He should say they are breaking their own rules to help Biden.
They'll use the cut switch to prevent him from doing that. They'll claim it was due to a "glitch" or a "software problem" if they have to, but they'll edit his remarks. They'll put the whole thing on a seven-second delay so they'll have time to figure out when to edit him.
I’ll bet you that they give control of the cut switch to Biden’s campaign team.

Most people distrust the media so much it will only reaffirm what they’ve been thinking. End result is positive.

Unfortunately, we know that Biden will have received the questions in advance.
you need to coach the President.....With all his rallies, he really doesn’t have time to practice.....too bad.
