Arizona Democrats are leading in the total number of ballots cast so far in the November election, comprising 40 percent of ballots returned in the state, according to election data last updated Tuesday.

Over 1.9 million Arizonians have already cast their ballot in the presidential election, according to the data last updated Tuesday — one week from the election. At that time, Democrats edged out Republicans, representing 39.7 of total ballots returned (or 787,173 ballots) to the GOP’s 35.6 percent (or 704,549). The October 27 update showed 3,353,533 ballots requested and 1,980,689 retuned. The U.S. Elections Projects clarifies that the Grand Canyon State “does not distinguish between mail ballots returned and in-person votes.”

“And all Dems vote for just Dems, right?”

Just like all Republicans vote only for Republicans, I guess.

You’re right. A lot of registered Republicans here in AZ are McCain types and will vote for the Democrat or Libertarian.

This will be the first time I will be voting on Election Day. Go Trump!!

I somehow never got around to voting in the Texas primary until election day this year. The line went through the polling place and a long way out into the parking lot. Same thing happened when I voted in the runoff. The lines were longer then because of social distancing, and I had to stand in the hot Texas sun in a mask until I got into the building. I'm glad my wife and I have already voted.

We’re working on it. My wife, eldest son, and I voted early for Trump yesterday, and the two younger boys are going to vote for him this afternoon. It ain’t over until Rosie O’Donnell sings.

Just talked to my registered Democratic friend. He voted Republican. We shouldn’t take anything for certain, but don’t lose heart. Just because more registered Democrats cast their votes doesn’t mean they voted that way.

Why do they keep posting this? So what if there are more democrats voting early? I contend, that a good number of the democrats are voting for Trump. Who’s to say that they’re not?

I’ve not seen numbers out of AZ but in other states Trump consistently leads in the % of Republicans that plan on voting for him vs. the % of rats who plan on voting for biden

There are a lot of Republicans hiding out as Independents. I was a registered Republican but a few months ago I switched to Independant to avoid potential political harassment from my client base which is typically Fortune 500. I voted straight Republican ticket.

Yes, that’s the biggest one - Fontes and Penzone. Those two jokers need to be gone!

Hi guys, sorry for the thread crash so to speak. Just saw on thedonald.win, that Michell Obama is having a get out the vote party on Friday at 3:30 PM. As old-time FReepers, can you get out the word to Trump supporters to surround them with pickup trucks with TRUMP2020 flags?

PS I can't do it because I'm in Minnesota. But Biden will be in St. Paul tomorrow, I might go troll them.

This doesn’t take into account a lot of dems either won’t vote for President or will vote for Trump.

It’s misleading at best.

In Texas when you vote, the ballot has both parties listed so you can vote either way. Does Arizona allow that?

It also doesn’t take into an account we have an ELECTION DAY. All this VBM and Early Vote nonsense is just like watching paint dry.

“I switched to Independant to avoid potential political harassment from my client base which is typically Fortune 500. I voted straight Republican ticket.”

Many employees of large corporations register as independent instead of Republicans. Sadly, too many senior managers and executives look at the public records of their employees, including voter registration. Liberals will limit the advancement prospects of employees who are registered Republican or who are known for expressing conservative views. I strongly urged my conservative child to register “unaffiliated”. All of the managers/executive she works under are liberals.
