Whoda thunk that Susan Collins winning would be treated as good news?

I’m no fan of Collins but I’ve been telling folks here that a Republican who can win in New England as long as she has is certainly a seasoned, wily political force.

How did she wind up voting on ACB? It was “no” - correct?

Does anyone really believe that’s what helped her win her re-election?

Is this a common thing?

Calling the other candidate and saying “Youse goona throw in the towel, or what?”

Kind of like being told you have shit to eat for dinner but you get a cookie afterward.

If it was 50-50, Murkowski turns Rat, and gets us Majority Leader Schumer.

How exciting.

Last I heard from this hag she was voting against a conservative woman for the Supreme Court.

Exactly, with her being re-elected it helps the Republicans maintain control of the Senate, setting the agenda, seating more conservative judges to the Federal bench. Republicans need to accept a win.

Yes we are happy about it...

In a binary general election, we should be happy if the Republican wins, even if that Republican is too liberal for us. And the reason is, that the alternative in a binary general election is going to be the Democrat.

Remember-—if the Republicans hold the Senate (even including Collins), the Dims can’t pack the Supreme Court, or convict Trump if the House does another impeachment!!!!

And the “Green New Deal” is TOAST!!!!

First, however, we need to stop the election fraud and give President Trump the reelection he has legitimately won!!! And we need to utterly crush any resulting riots or violent coups!!!!

WOW so Collins won..I didnt see that coming..maybe she knew playing it smart, going against Barrett, getting some votes in her corner due to that in Maine, actually helped her win

I know this is complicated for many ‘purists’ here, but if Republicans hold the Senate, then the Filibuster will stay in place, and the Democrats will need 60 VOTES to move legislation, and that includes gun control and God knows what else.
