Unfortunately, the decision to put this proven loser into the open Senate seat probably accounts for a lot of the GOP troubles in Arizona right now.
Because he’d need about 100k to tie, being behind by that much...what I omitted was that he’d also need a heap of the other 400k. Anyway, now they’re saying it’s 900k outstanding, not 500k. And it’s...still possible he could win.
And then on to the next Democrat ploy. No doubt a week from now we will be looking at a whole new controversy that at this moment is not on the radar at all.

If there are 400k left to vote in that county, and the county winds up anywhere close to what it did in 16 in terms of percentages, Trump wins AZ handily.

If the reports of 400k votes left in Maricopa county or wherever it is are correct, Trump will likely win AZ handily.
The county is currently 52/46 Biden, in 16, it was 49/46 Trump. at 49/46 Trump (last election) that’s a net gain for Trump of around 60,000 votes.
However, last election you had Johnson take about 4% of the vote here... and another 3rd party take 1. This time its jus the 1 third party taking 1, so that’ leaves 4 extra percent in play in that 400k that wasn’t there in 16.
If they break Trump 3 to 1 and get 52/47 then you have exactly 100,000 votes picked up for Trump... The current gap is just below that.
So, we shall see...
3 to 1 sounds like a lot, until you consider these are in-person or drop off voting. Dems already voted by mail. So, not so far fetched.

I honestly don’t know.. I was just doing some back of an envelope math. I truly don’t know AZ... but it seems CRAZY to me to call a race when you have a huge county like that still outstanding and it went Trump pretty solidly last time.
