Way back machine time...When the west was ‘opened’ grants of land was given to whomever claimed the acreage etc...you had to live on it and work it continually for I think it was 5 years to actually legally own it...if you left you forfeited the land...You couldnt sell it for those 5 years...

I don’t have a problem with this if USDA provides a program for black farmers. They work the land for 5 years. No interest loans. They fulfill their terms, the land is theirs. Of course, pay white farmers as their mentors so they can provide guidance to black farmers and not put them in a position to fail.
That’s how a lot of “minority” contracting and purchasing works now. Rent a ceo/director with melanin or breasts. Or both.

Yes, take the land and lease it out. Maybe maintain a small home and barn on the land and take deductions for being a farm. Truck, gasoline, tractor, wages, etc. What % African decent do you have to be and do you have to prove heritage as a slave. If not, Obama and Holder could claim ‘their’ land too.

There has been many farmers that inherited their farms and lost everything. Farming isn’t as easy as it sounds.

I’ve farmed for a few years, and I can attest that it ain’t all “peaches and cream”. It’s hard work thats usually dawn to dusk and then some, terribly frustrating most of the time, dangerous and thankless.
But, hey, I have no qualms if a black person wants to give it a shot....without govt. assistance other than what’s available to everyone else.
