Byron York of the Washington Examiner caught New York Times columnist Paul Krugman in an easily disprovable lie on Tuesday: claiming that Democrats never called President Donald Trump illegitimate, when he himself did so in 2017.
Krugman, a Nobel Prize-winning economist-turned-partisan pundit, wrote Monday:

The American public has the attention span of a gnat. If they hear something Krugman said that’s it, must be true. No curiosity, no scrutiny, their TVs don’t lie to them.
I don’t care if the Dims said it or not, but I’m saying it now. If Slow Joe becomes President, he’ll NEVER be my President. His party cheated to get him in. Period.
If the ramifications weren’t so damned serious, this would be humorous.
He knows what he said. We know what he said. It is easily found, often on video, if not in print, but...people like him just come out and say breezily...”I never said that.”
They apparently feel so emboldened that nobody is going to call them out on it, that they just say it knowing that the media will cover it as truth.
You can bet that if Trump mad a statement like that, it would be trumpeted on the news day after day, leading, calling him a liar.
During the campaign, Biden lied repeatedly and blatantly, and there were video and audio of him actually saying these things, but...it was never even mentioned by the media except as conspiracy theories.
And THAT is what I find disturbing.

If it comes to it, I’ll treat Biden with the save respect and deference the Left showed toward Pres. Trump.
Sadfact: the Leftist media can say whatever they like. There is no mainstream fact checking. With Foxnews joining the Left, and social media censoring truth, a safe bet is that 90% of the people hearing lies from the media will never hear the truth.
