The coronavirus pandemic is set to make 2020 the deadliest year in US history.
While final data will not be available for months, preliminary numbers suggest the US saw more than 3.2 million deaths this year, which is at least 400,000 more than in 2019 — a figure that could still go higher, according to the Associated Press.
It marks a jump of 15%, the largest single-year percentage leap since 1918, when tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers died in World War I and hundreds of thousands died of Spanish flu

Can we take off people in motorcycle crashes cause of DEATH COVID??
Pravda propaganda. Strength in numbers. Discard your mask.
WE ALL GON’ DIE!
Sick of these idiots. COVID-19 was the flu, just weaker.
Also 2020 is the 70th year marking the rise of the baby boomers, deaths are going to climb exponentially from here on...
Yyyeahhh. Seeing as how there are still 8 more days to go in the yeah, I think that conclusion is almost as foregone as it is brilliant.
You got to get up priiiiiiity early in the morning to get something past The Ape Pee.
At least nobody died from Influenza during the last year, otherwise an extra 100k would be dead. I wonder why??
That means that if only 2 people died in 2019 and 4 people died in 2020 that would be a 100% increase which would make it the deadliest year ever according to The New York POS and The Ape Pee.
They omit the extra deaths from drugs/booze/untreated diseases/suicides/violence from emotional issues/higher murder rates in big Dem cities, etc.
I’d wager it’s just about a wash if the truth were told.
Never mind motorcyclists!
The amazing number of 700 bicyclists were also killed.
Most were in their 30s, so never mind...
This projected increase of 400,000 is SWAG. The number that counts will be excess deaths over the recent averages. Sinve covid kills more 65 and older citizens , many of us in that cohort would have died normally. How many we won’t know until the year is over and analyzed. My guess is it will be around 200,000, which in a population of 331 million is an increase of.06%. The Spanish Flu was much worse than that
675,000 died in that flu and that is an estimate on a mush smaller population. Plus it killed people in the prime of life.
As long as you’re not talking about the cause of the Virus and their part in it, they’re happy...
All of the objections you see in this thread will be EMBRACED by the “Press” when China’s culpability in using it to take down the President of the United States, along with the Democrats, is recognized. Then, the effort will be to minimize the impact of the Left’s Virus.
Maybe, this will only be in the history books.
“ The coronavirus pandemic is set to make 2020 the deadliest year in US history.
While final data will not be available for months, preliminary numbers suggest the US saw more than 3.2 million deaths this year,”
The NYP here wants the reader to walk off with the idea that 3.2 million Americans died of corona virus.
They omit the extra deaths from drugs/booze/untreated diseases/suicides/violence from emotional issues/higher murder rates in big Dem cities, etc. CAUSED BY THE SHUTDOWNS.
“””While final data will not be available for months”””
How accurate is the preliminary data?
Why does it take several months to get the final data?
Social Security is advised immediately that a death has occurred, why is there any delay?
Is our government system for counting deaths as corrupt as our government system for counting votes?
The population of the U.S. at the time was only about 103 million (less than 30% of today).
What year in US history has the highest population?
Death rate has gone up about 1.25% for each of the last several years.
