One in five people tested for COVID-19 in Los Angeles are positive — as the region grapples with an alarming outbreak that officials have called a “human disaster.”
The test positivity rate climbed to 21 percent in Los Angeles County, which recorded 9,142 new cases on Monday, Patch Los Angeles reported.
“That is a human disaster, and one that was avoidable,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis said.

That’s a good thing. In short order the population will be immune and we can tell the apparatchiks to go back to enforcing dog poo laws.

Now toss out 90% as false positives as reported by the NY Times. Any PCR test that runs amplification cycles more than 30 times is worthless.
That tells me 4 out of 5 people who thought they had COVID-19, didn’t.

She has been in office decades.
If it were avoidable wouldn’t it be Solis and her colleagues to blame?
Answer yes. No one else has been in power in Los Angekes for decades.

On another note I know no one here in LA county who has tested positive.

I was just back home in Long Beach for 9 days during Xmas (working an aerospace job in FL). I got tested (negative) so I could see my 9 month old granddaughter. Tell you this, Florida is more open and more healthy.
democRATS can never figure it out.
Republicans must demand a symptom percentage (none, mild, more serious, etc.) breakdown whenever this type of fake test news is reported.

Compare that to Florida which is practically wide open!
On the plus side... they nearly have herd immunity.
It was not avoidable. It was not even necessary for the majority of people to avoid it. Vulnerable populations could have been protected without destroying other lives and the economy.
The construction industry is going at full speed. Most of the construction workers are Mexican or Mexican American. The construction workers live far from the construction sites and they car pool to work from places like East L.A. and Pacoima in the San Fernando Valley. They spread the virus at work and take it home to their crowded family homes.
So what’s the point of these non-stop Covid threads? SOS, different town.

To my non-medical understanding, it means that testing positive on possibly some PCR-based Coronavirus tests means that you are a human.
