Parler, the beleaguered social network advertised as a “free speech” alternative to Facebook and Twitter, has had a tough month. Apple and Google removed the Parler app from their stores, and Amazon blocked the platform from using its hosting services. Parler has since found a home in DDoS-Guard, a Russian digital infrastructure company. But now it appears DDoS-Guard is about to be relieved of more than two-thirds of the Internet address space the company leases to clients — including the Internet addresses currently occupied by Parler.
The pending disruption for DDoS-Guard and Parler comes compliments of Ron Guilmette, a researcher who has made it something of a personal mission to de-platform conspiracy theorist and far-right groups.

I try to encourage business to move to IPv6 and away from IPv4. In most cases, it is a simple as asking the hosting platform / ISP to enable the protocol.
I am also recommending that firms start looking at getting off of IPv4 or at the very least, have a plan that they can dust off in the future.
Even more so, have Paler go to the same server company that also hosts GAB.com .
A lot of the commenters on that site seem to suffer from crippling stupidity.
Yeah, the son of a senator has tens of millions of dollars because folks just like him.
“Even more so, have Paler go to the same server company that also hosts GAB.com”
Gab owns and operates their own servers which are already taxed from the huge influx of new users. I doubt they would want to take on hosting a direct competitor.
They can revoke your class 3 and even deny your access to BGP/EGP znd bury you on a digital island
And when DOJ, or the NY Attorney General, file a single law suit, and have a judge sign an order that shuts that server company down for alleged money laundering, mispronouning, or whatever, and in an instant every non-leftist website is gone?
This is a time to disperse, not consolidate, the source of web services. Whatever the cost in money and convenience, it will be better than handing the swamp a single kill switch.
Oh really now. Another tin-foil hat statement.
Servers or no servers...”hosted” or not...it is your “pipe” to the Internet that counts. Gab using “CloudFlare” to fend off DDOS, and something like “Stryx”? or “Stix”? for datacenter/bandwidth hosting. Would have to research.
The people running Parler are STUPID. From Amazon to Russia! All with front and back copies (unencrypted) of US citizen’s government IDs for any average hacker to acquire. Moronic.
There was recently a big deal about Gab getting their own servers.
Since they compete with Parler you idea would be like getting Pepsi to produce Coke.
Should start anew as relrap.com It’ll be our secret.
Parler bump for later
Read later.
No doubt. Because being de-platformed couldn't possibly happen, right?
Unless you are mindful of how and why Parler was deplatformed.
Wow! We do have a lot of Tin-foil hat wearing folks on FR!
We had a meeting about this last week. Our IT Services firm will no longer recommend AWS and will actively encourage our clients to move off them as soon as possible.

Okay. How did Parler get de-platformed?
How to tell DDOS [distributed denial of service] attack and wire shark with hping3.
