Democrats claim that impeaching Donald Trump after he’s left office is a question of “accountability” and that Trump must be humiliated and prevented from running for office ever again.
But Trump’s impeachment trial will only strengthen the Republican base. Trump has more clout within the party since he left office. And despite not being on social media, he has become even more of a presence. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy made a pilgrimage to Mar-a-Largo to huddle with Trump about his and the GOP’s future — a remarkable occurrence considering the ill favor Trump is in with many national Republicans.
But McCarthy knows that Trump is the key to any success the Republicans will have in 2022. For better or worse, the Republicans and Trump are joined at the hip and they will sink or swim together.
This has become clear as members hear an earful from Trump supporters when they go home. And, if anything, Trump has gained prestige as a result of the torrent of abuse coming from the Left.
Fox News reports:
“People don’t want to hear anything against Trump,” Palmeri said during an appearance on MSNBC. “Actually, the more he stays out of the media, the more that he becomes this martyr, this looming figure over the GOP.”
In fact, there is now a “crusade” being waged on behalf of the former president in places like Wyoming, where Trump is “way more popular” [than] the state’s high-ranking congressional Republican, U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, Palmeri said.
The people of Wyoming are not alone. In red states, especially, Trump’s upcoming impeachment trial will only energize them more. Instead of a dispirited, fractured Republican Party, Democrats may very well be facing an enraged, motivated GOP electorate in 2022. The anti-Trump faction is being purged.

Again this begs the question — you are ASSUMING AN HONEST ELECTION. Has the voter rolls been cleaned up yet? Have they banned mail-in voting? If the answer is no, then the assumption about enraged voters making a difference during the elections is invalid.

If Trump starts his own social media empire and takes it public he might just wind up number one on the Forbes 400 list.

Some states are proposing bills to address election fraud. I believe Georgia is considering a bill that requires a photocopy of the driver’s license be sent along with the application for absentee voter registration as well as another photocopy of the driver’s license be sent with the mailed-in ballot itself. The states have to act before 2022.

We no longer have a Democratic Republic where the voters express their will through their vote. What we have a chinese stooge in the white house who licks their boots. Such bull. Republicans only want to USE Trump to get re-elected. They did it for the last 4 years but when the going gets tough they resort to true form and show their skunk stripes. Republican OR democrats will NOT allow any kind of agenda that resembles trumps agenda.
President Trump is already stronger and will continue to grow in his power and influence.
I start feeling like Charlie Brown and the football. Nothing the Dimocrats does will backfire as long as they own the election system. Some oldsters were telling me how next time would be different because people will vote against them. Hello? How was your three-month sleep? The system doesn’t give a damn who votes they will always roll over to the f’ing liberals from here on out. Which goes back to what I used to believe years ago...don’t vote it just encourages them.
