Because a person got killed it is probably worse.
Prank or not, the victim saw someone approaching him with a knife in a threatening manner. A person has no other reasonable choice than to fire at the perceived attacker, until the attack stops.
I despise so-called “pranks. They are for the entertainment of everyone but the victim. Humiliation and fear etc are not funny. Anything that happens to a perpetrator of one deserves what they get. I will never understand why people enjoy tormenting or playing tricks on others. I just don’t get it. Guess I am a stick in the mud.

I have always despised”practical jokes” and their perpetrators.

Yep- Hope he gets off and his lawyer can sue like the catholic kids got to sue- for defamation or whatever- Watching that video, it’s amazing he was as controlled i n his response as he was- it was intense- and he had to think quick because his life was in danger-
The object lesson is: if you’re involved in a shooting leave no survivors.
