In a similar vein, a couple years ago some yob gave handed a .357 to his girlfriend. He held a thick phone book to his chest, and asked her to shoot him. She declined, but he insisted that the phone book would stop the bullet. So she shot him. The bullet easily passed through the phone book, killing the yob instantly.

Somewhere on YouTube, there is a video of a guy who used to dress up in a clown outfit and surprise people in a park. But he jumped out of the bushes this one guy and that guy beat the crap out of him. Now that was a funny video!

Prank or not, the victim saw someone approaching him with a knife in a threatening manner. A person has no other reasonable choice than to fire at the perceived attacker, until the attack stops.
