It was easy for them to plan because Trump scheduled his rally on January 6.
Trump knows how to schedule rallies and perform admirably in them.
Trump seems to have never figured out the power of the forces aligned against him. Big mistake. Trump was simply outmaneuvered by the deep state and democraps.
As a Trumpster, when I ask myself what would I do in his shoes, holding a rally is actually a pretty good maneuver. But keeping it peaceful is a high priority.
What I would have done (and did think of beforehand, check my posting history) was to LEAD the rally. Walk/golfcart ahead of it and get to the steps of the capitol and start shouting, along with the crowd.
I know, I know, there’s a definit chance of assassination, but one has to ask, “what better way to die?”
More than fair observation.
Being a Patriot, nationalist, states right advocate and a “Constitutionalist” is a radical concept now.
oops, forgot to add that he was outmaneuvered by deep statists, democrats, RINOs and GOPes. The swamp was much deeper than he realized.

Here’s an idea: how about trueing the vote?
The professional political class, elected, appointed, etc., regardless of party, they benefit from closing the club. We'll see little in the way of spoken opposition, and nothing in the way of corrective action.
It's not just the Democrats. Just the Democrats are taking a leadership role. Kayfabe GOP will provide the role of authorized dissent for the benefit of the illusion of "free country."

I’ve always thought/hoped that a peaceful dissolution could be reached if the country cannot attain some reasonable level of compromise.
Since it seems painfully clear that we cannot, then the next step should be a mutually-agreed upon “divorce”. But I can already see a problem, namely that the Dems are taking steps to insure that they don’t lose any more future elections (unless of course it’s to a Romney-style ‘Republican’). If that’s the case, then they’ll never have to come to the table, because they can never really lose in any meaningful way.
Seccession will almost certainly result in defeat unless a sizable chunk of the military is on board. We don’t even need a majority, but we need sizable amount. Secondly, the Secession would have to be organized under competent leadership. I’m not seeing anyone right now with the credentials and desire to lead such an endeavor.

A viable suggestion so we will look into it further for pro and cons.

The problem is they know the middle class pays the bills via taxes. If a secession happens then the freebies stop that day and that is why we will have another civil war before secession happens.
