The way I look at it, it will eventually diminish the ranks of the US military. That will make them less of a threat locally. More of Texas’ military men need to come back to Texas and join the Texas Guard anyway. We may need them.
PS - The Texas Guard is not the Texas National Guard. They are two different groups.
The left destroys all it touches. We know it because we’ve seen it.
Right now, the military is the ONLY government organization commanding respect. Liberals hate that. So, their solution will be to eliminate true leaders at all levels and replace them with folks selected for criteria other than ability, merit, and talent.

Was there a stand down when state capitals (numerous) were seized by protestors from the left? When cities were shut down, federal buildings seriously damaged as in Portland (not like the over exaggerated crap with the Capital building where there was no spray painting of graffiti, no fires...)? One cop was killed in what was an unintentional death in reality, after Floyd and ANTIFA/BLM 5 cops died in deliberate attacks on cops in the first week.
America is blind on the left eye as in Europe.
It’s a phenomena that was in Europe for a long time, but has now come here.
It’s a consequence of a 1. media (News, Hollywood, big tech) that is massively biased and in fact even in favor of one view, but in complete opposition of the other. 2. The institutionalization of leftist ideology within federal government which is also biased at this point. 3. An education system that is pushing leftists ideology as part of “education.”
You today have 75 million Americans that are ideologically excluded (do not openly express your ideas - or whisper them) in a society that spends a lot of time talking about inclusion and diversity. Inclusion and diversity are ideas that only relate to race and sex, and even then only when it benefits so called “protected classes,” because these concepts are seldom applied if the situation is reversed.
It is because there is big time pushback coming from the ranks and officers corps. Admin is backing off. Threats are effective sometimes.
That should work out well.
