The NBA announced on Thursday that Heat center Meyers Leonard has been suspended one week and fined $50k for saying an antisemitic slur during a Twitch live stream.

The NBA said that Leonard will also be “required to participate in a cultural diversity program.”

Of course he knew what it meant - he knew enough to sandwich the slur between two f-bombs. And so what? I don't use ethnic slurs myself - it's mindless and cruel to slander entire ethnic groups of people. But using an ethnic slur should not mean having to issue groveling, insincere apologies and seeing one's career go up in flames. The woke culture of America is nearing Red China Cultural Revolution levels.
