As Hoover observed, faith in herd immunity has prompted members of the Plain community to relax on key mitigation efforts such as masking and social distancing, and they may see little reason to be vaccinated.

So called “herd immunity” provides NO immunity. It is merely a lack of exposure.

FYI the Amish do NOT have churches per se.
Sunday services are held in Amish homes on a rotating basis every other Sunday. The homes in the rotation constitute a “church district”.
They never stopped having services.
You need to look up the term.

The Amish may be improving on Covid but they are still in mortal danger from their out of control Amish carriage drag racing.
Somebody has to stop them. And check to see if their horses are on drugs. “Feeling their oats” and more.

Give them credit. Not even the police are bold enough to walk through South Philly on Saturday night and stare down the thugs.
Our local Mennonites have what they call a Meeting House aka church building. None of them wear masks. The “English” that visit their country store all do though and nobody is forced or even asked. The locals just do it. I haven’t heard of any of our Mennonites dying from COVID. In fact, in my County of 55,000 people only 97 have died and I think most of those were in nursing homes. Our local hospital treats the milder cases but if a person turns bad they are sent to Knoxville for treatment.
I did - from the CDC itself. No immunity is provided, it is merely a lack of exposure. The CDC recognizes only two types of immunity - active and passive. “Herd” immunity is neither.

Herd immunity does not meet the definition of immunity. On the Glossary page, Herd Immunity redirects to Community immunity.

Even individuals not vaccinated (such as newborns and those with chronic illnesses) are offered some protection because the disease has little opportunity to spread within the community. Yes ... the very people who are pushing experimental vaccines to achieve so called “herd immunity”.
... when herd immunity provides NO actual immunity to the individual. All it provides is a lack of exposure. But as soon as someone who is infected enters that herd / population, the “herd immunity” is broken.
Which is why I believe that illegals with Covid are not only being allowed to enter the US, but are being actively transported far and wide across America. I believe that the purpose is to keep the Covid FUD going, to keep trying to convince people to get the vaccines.
