Actor Gary Sinise is a rare sight to behold in Hollywood.
Instead of soaking up accolades for his memorable performances and indulging in the celebrity lifestyle, Sinise dedicates most of his time to helping America’s veterans.
In 2011, the actor established the Gary Sinise Foundation, which has adapted nearly 70 smart homes for veterans who suffered severe wounds in service of their nation. But Sinise’s foundation also has launched an initiative to help the country’s heroes continue to heal beyond their physical scars.
According to The Atlanta Jewish Times, Sinise is teaming with The Home Depot co-founders Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank to offer care to veterans and first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and substance abuse.
The initiative isn’t the first time Sinise has partnered with Marcus and Home Depot foundations. As The Atlanta Jewish Times reported in 2018, they joined forces for the smart homes project.
Sinise’s latest partnership, however, involves Marcus and Blank donating $20 million each from their foundations to support the Gary Sinise Foundation Avalon Network.
The project, launched on Feb. 16, will build on the work that already has been completed by the Marcus Institute for Brain Health and the Boulder Crest Foundation’s Warrior PATHH program to establish 20 veteran service sites nationwide. (PATHH stands for Progressive and Alternative Training for Healing Heroes.)

All hurting, helpless, or homeless vets need to declare themed legal aliens. There are, apparently, endless resources for illegal aliens.
Delta, Coca-Cola, Home Depot and others have come out against the Georgia Legislature's push for election reform.
I believe election reform is critical for our nation’s survival.
Their coming out against those election reforms the way that they have makes them highly suspicious and I can’t do business with them now.

My Army Son had 3 soldiers in his company commit suicide after they returned from their last tour in Iraq. It is beyond sad. The families have no idea why their sons did this to themselves. The VA has been zero help.
I would recommend watching Gary Sinise movies like “I Still Believe” to fund this work.
I remember reading that on his USO tours, the one thing most of the troops wanted to see was his Lt. Dan dog tags. He was always happy to show them to his fans.
Founders Marcus and Blanc are no longer “with” Home Depot so their foundations probably don’t expound the current ‘wokeness’ of current corporate leadership.
Gary Sinise was my late doctor’s college roommate.
I have always liked Gary Sinise and support the things he does, this also.
To me, he’s always been one of the good guys.
Otoh, I guess I’m too easily triggered by some corporate names ... and I regret sharing.

Wow! That is would have been interesting to talk to him about what Gary Sinise was like in college. Were they friends?

That is sickening, that the VA did nothing. You would think that they could foresee such a situation and be prepared for it.
